Costco runs No sales tax (freight)

Costco pickup & delivery

Send us your Costco order and we'll pick it up in Anchorage and haul it north. Costco loads are considered freight.

Groceries, per pallet (up to 1,100 lbs): $150
Over 1,100 lbs: $0.14 / lb

Pickup once a week on Mondays (subject to change).
Orders must be placed at least 5 days before pickup (Costco's rule).
Label your order with your name AND "Kar-A-Van Transfer."

Palletized cargo, groceries, heavy equipment and oversized loads across the road system.

Less-than-truckload (LTL)

Anchorage ↔ Homer, per pallet space: $150 + 25% fuel surcharge = $187.50

Most available Tue / Wed / Thu — please inquire, we may be able to accommodate another day. Shipping somewhere else? Inquire through the contact page or email.

Heavy equipment

Anchorage → Homer: $2,200 + 25% FSC
Soldotna / Kenai → Homer: $1,000 + 25% FSC
Homer → Seward: $1,700 + 25% FSC

Oversize loads (standard XP permit)

Anchorage → Homer: $2,800 + 25% FSC

Full van or reefer trailer

Anchorage → Homer: $1,800 + 25% FSC

Full flatbed or step deck trailer

Anchorage → Homer: $1,800 + 25% FSC
Wasilla / Palmer → Homer: $2,250 + 25% FSC
Homer → Seward: $1,500 + 25% FSC
Homer → Soldotna / Kenai: $800 + 25% FSC

Ferry service + Homer 7.85% sales tax

Marine Highway loads, storage & containers

We load cars, boats on trailers, enclosed trailers, semi trailers, ATVs, and equipment like tele-handlers and forklifts onto the ferry.

Loading

Unaccompanied drive-on vehicles: $100
Unaccompanied ATVs: $50
Double shuffle — each side we load: $150

If your truck/trailer combo is over 40′ you may need our help — a "double shuffle," where we load one side and you load the other. If an unaccompanied trailer is over 25′, we may load both sides for you ($150 each).

Vehicle storage

Cars / trucks: $2 / day or $60 / mo
Standard trailers under 30′: $5 / day or $140 / mo
Semi trailers: $15 / day or $425 / mo

You can't drop on the day of sailing, so we offer storage. Storage is also subject to Homer's 7.85% sales tax.

Container freight to Kodiak & Seldovia

Kodiak — full 30′ trailer: $3,300
Kodiak — full 40′ trailer: $4,200
Seldovia — per pallet space: $125
Seldovia — items over 900 lbs: $0.14 / lb

Start-to-finish service. 30′ and 40′ trailer spaces available.
